My figurative paintings are representational but whimsical at the same time. Employing the figure in my paintings is a new endeavor.

Fantasy and imagination at work - most of the inspiration for these city scapes comes from my travels in Europe. I have been visiting Florence, Italy and Zurich, Switzerland annually since 1992 and spend most of my days sketching and drawing. These paintings continue to evolve as abstract works but their subjects are grounded in realistic drawing.

I have been drawing interiors for quite some time and am now working on a series of paintings. Many of my current compositions are from drawings that I have made in Florence and Zurich. Some will have figurative content and some will focus on composition and color.

Works on Canvas in Various Subjects. I like to work on birch panel. These wood panels lend themselves to collage and other mixed-media techniques. Many of these works are painted using acrylic but equally as many are done using oils. Combining oil and collage is one of my favorite processes.
